This piece takes motif from the soundtrack I made for Hong Kong filmmaker Ann Hui’s Summer Snow (1995). The horn arrangements are by Suzuki Hiroshi. Voices of Kahimi Karie and her daughter Niki taken from their daily lives, a performance by FEN, and a field recording of protests in Hong Kong during the Umbrella Movement in 2014 made by dj sniff are collaged into the piece. This piece is dedicated to Ann Hui, whom I respect deeply, and to Kei She and Shimizu Kiyofumi who introduced me to the director. It is also dedicated to my many friends in Hong Kong whom I feel deeply connected to.

香港の映画監督アンホイ（許鞍華）の『女人、四十』（1995年）のサウンドトラック（私自身が担当しました）をモチーフにした作品です。ホーンのアレンジは鈴木広志にお願いしました。アメリカ在住のカヒミ・カリィ & ニキ親子の日常の声とともにFENのメンバーの演奏や、2014年香港での大規模なデモが起こった際に香港に住んでいたdj sniffによる当時のフィールドレコーディングもコラージュされています。この曲を敬愛するアンホイ監督に捧げると同時に、アンホイと私を繋げてくれたシュウケイ（舒琪）や鈴木清文、そして私にとっては本当に所縁の深い香港の友人たちに捧げたいと思います。
